Developed using dermatological science
The body's largest organ, and its most visible.
Skin is a layered, living system. Understanding its architecture is the foundation of any considered routine — and of every formula we develop.
Epidermis
≈ 0.05–1.5 mm
The outermost layer. Its surface, the stratum corneum, is a lattice of flattened cells held in a matrix of ceramides, cholesterol, and fatty acids — the structure most skincare is designed to support.
Dermis
≈ 1–4 mm
A dense connective layer of collagen and elastin fibers, blood vessels, and nerve endings. It gives skin its firmness, spring, and much of its visible texture.
Hypodermis
Variable
The deepest layer, composed largely of adipose tissue. It cushions underlying structures, stores energy, and helps insulate the body.

Fig. 1 — Surface micro-relief of the stratum corneum
Barrier protection
Limits water loss and helps keep environmental irritants and microbes out.
Temperature regulation
Adjusts blood flow and perspiration to help maintain core body temperature.
Sensation
Specialized receptors register touch, pressure, vibration, and temperature.
What thoughtful skincare can address
Cosmetic skincare works at the surface — supporting the barrier, improving hydration, and influencing how skin looks and feels over time. It can meaningfully improve the appearance of skin affected by aging, cumulative sun exposure, rough texture, and dryness.
- Visible signs of aging
- Daily sun exposure
- Uneven texture
- Dehydration & dryness
This site provides general skin health information and does not diagnose or treat any medical condition. Consult a licensed dermatologist for any skin concern.

Skin type, climate, and lifestyle vary widely. A licensed dermatologist can tailor a routine to the individual.
Six fundamentals. No shortcuts.
Beneath every trend is a short list of practices with consistent support in the dermatological literature. These are the principles our formulations are built around.
Daily SPF
Ultraviolet exposure is the single largest external contributor to visible skin aging. A broad-spectrum sunscreen, applied every morning and reapplied with extended time outdoors, is the most well-supported step in any routine.
Gentle cleansing
Cleansing should remove sunscreen, sebum, and pollutants without disrupting barrier lipids. Low-pH, sulfate-free formulas tend to leave skin comfortable rather than tight.
Barrier support
The stratum corneum relies on a balance of ceramides, cholesterol, and free fatty acids. Replenishing these lipids helps skin retain water and stay resilient.
Antioxidants
Compounds such as niacinamide, vitamin C derivatives, and polyphenols help neutralize free radicals generated by UV and pollution, complementing — not replacing — sunscreen.
Peptides
Short chains of amino acids used in cosmetic formulations to support the look of firmness and smoothness. They are well tolerated and pair easily with other actives.
Hydration
Humectants like glycerin and hyaluronic acid draw water into the upper layers of skin, while emollients and occlusives help keep it there.
Sixty seconds to your routine.
Answer three questions and we'll match you to the two-to-four formulas from our collection that fit your skin — the same approach a SkinCeuticals routine builder takes, with none of the upsell.
What would you most like to improve?
A five-step system for resilient, luminous skin.
Our house line is intentionally edited: five formulas that cover the fundamentals with clinical-grade research standards and nothing superfluous.
Not sure where to start? Take the sixty-second ritual quiz and we'll match you to the right formulas.

Every formula passes through our own lab before it reaches yours.
Our house line is developed and verified in-house at US Longevity Laboratories — a facility equipped with advanced analytical instrumentation for research, formulation, and quality testing. That lets us control each stage of development rather than outsourcing it.
Ingredient qualification
Raw materials are reviewed against supplier certificates of analysis and checked for identity and purity on receipt.
Formulation development
Iterative bench formulation to balance active concentration, pH, texture, and compatibility across ingredients.
Analytical verification
Instrumental analysis confirms composition and consistency from pilot batch to production run.
Stability & compatibility
Accelerated and real-time stability studies assess how each formula holds up across temperature, light, and packaging.

Bring your brand to market with dermatology-grade skincare.
Every brand wants a credible, science-backed skincare line, but few can build the formulation, sourcing, and testing infrastructure themselves.
